Societies' Message :
Palestine Red Crescent Society is considered a national and a humanitarian society . striving to provide medical , rehabilitation ,social and academic services to the local communities . The society has and still contributing to raise the level of health and social services in the southern region of west –Bank through its scattered center throughout the district.
· Al- Raja' Center For Rehabilitation & Capacity Development.
The center was established in a small modest building in mid-town Hebron. In 1985 the center was moved to a better and modern building in a suburb called Dwairban west of the city of Hebron. The land where the new center was built is almost 11,000 m².
The Center provides daily care for the disabled children with simple and medium mental disabilities with the age group 6-18 years old. Currently the center has 75 beneficiaries ( Male & Female) .The center opened a sup-branch in the southern part of the city that has 15 beneficiaries.
The center is working hard on integrating the students into the local communities . the integration program focuses on:
1. Integrating the disabled student into their local communities (field of work).
2. Put pressure and advocacy to activate the law of the disabled #4 for the year 1999.

Departments of the center:
First: Educational Department:
Aims:
1. To develop cognitive ,linguistic, and absorptive abilities .
2. Self –development skills category.
Secondly: Diagnostic & Evaluation Unit:-
The unit is supervised by rehabilitation specialist and a team specialized in disabilities . The Team diagnoses and evaluates the abilities of the disabled student, using the adaptive behavior ,psychological and psychomotor behavior scale in Intelligence Examination.
Thirdly: Speech & Hearing Therapy Unit:-
This unit is supervised by a speech and hearing therapist and that is through individual sessions for the student of the center and exterior cases.
Fourthly : Department of psychological and social counseling:
the department provides psychological and social counseling and behavior modification for the beneficiaries and external cases and provides advices to the parents.
Fifth : Educational games library : (Montessori program )
the system that it has been followed in the library is within the system of angles (corners) and the lending system for external cases.
Sixth: Integration Program :
The program aims to integrate the disabled student, with the kindergarten pupils educationally .
Seventh: Vocational Rehabilitation Department (Protected Workshops) :
The vocational rehabilitation aims to integrate students with simple mental disabilities in the local communities and teach them simple jobs that (fit) their mental abilities by our vocational trainers expert teachers . To create opportunities for the disabled students to be productive and not a burden on the community and their families.
The V.R department includes the following workshops:
1. Wax workshop ( candles).
2. Accessories Workshop.
Eighth: Agriculture Rehabilitation Department:
· Open Agriculture : we plant because we love our home land , life and work. The disabled student, cultivate the external land with different trees and plants and they also pick olives and fruits which are sold to the local community and most of the time for the use of the center's kitchen. Under the supervision of the center's staff and a specialized farmer .
· Green Houses: The size of the green Houses is 1500 m² . The students of the center participate in the cultivating process under close supervision.
The administration of the center is working on creating new productive workshops, such as :
1- Leather workshop: to produce simple leather products.
2- The administration is working on equipping an exterior commercial shop in Beer Al-Mahjar neighborhood to decorate wedding halls and other feasts or celebration . Also to sell the products of the center such as flower , candles , accessories and other products. It is worthy to mention that this shop will be operated by the disabled students under the supervision of a specialist .
3- Reactivate the chicken farm (Hatchery) .
4- Reactivate the Bee Farm
· Futuristic Hopes & Ambitions :
1. Establishing the child development and capacity building department.
2. Expanding the vocational workshops and the rehabilitation farms.
3. Adopting the needy and successful student program
4. Replacing the old Busses with new Busses designed for the disabled.
